For more than 50 years, the Cranford Swimming Club has been one of the most renowned, private
summer clubs for singles and families in Union County. Founded in 1954, the facility is complete
with an enclosed baby pool, volleyball, tennis and paddle tennis courts. Its signature Adirondack
chairs and umbrella adorned tables provide a welcoming environment for the membership.

With over 200 members, our swimming season runs from the Saturday before Memorial Day
through Labor Day. We offer Red Cross level swimming instruction, a competitive swim team for
children from elementary through high school, lap swimming and the annual Vinylman triathalon.
The tennis courts are available for member use from early spring until late fall. During the summer
season, we offer adult clinics, adult tournaments and an extensive children’s program. Paddle
tennis is available year round. We also offer several social activities during the season, including
family picnics, an adult social, pizza parties and Friday night grilling.
